Set the vShield Manager Date and Time
Youcansetthedate,time,andtimezoneofthevShieldManager.YoucanalsospecifyaconnectiontoanNTP
servertoestablishacommonnetworktime.Dateandtimevaluesareusedinthesystemtostampeventsas
theyoccur.
To set the date and time configuration of the vShield Manager
1ClickSettings&ReportsfromthevShield
Managerinventorypanel.
2ClicktheConfigurationtab.
3ClickDate/Time.
4IntheDateandClockfield,typethedateandtimeintheformatYYYY‐MM‐DDHH:MM:SS.
5IntheNTPServerfield,typetheIPaddressofyourNTPserver.
YoucantypethehostnameofyourNTPserverifyouhave
setupDNSservice.
6FromtheTimeZonedrop‐downmenu,selecttheappropriatetimezone.
7ClickSave.
Identify a Proxy Server
Ifyouuseaproxyserverfornetworkconnectivity,youcanconfigurethevShieldManagertousetheproxy
server.ThevShieldManagersupportsapplication‐lev elHTTP/HTTPSproxiessuchasCacheFlowand
MicrosoftISAServer.

8TypetheUserNamerequiredtologintotheproxyserver.
9TypethePasswordassociatedwiththeusernameforproxyserverlogin.
